X BASC Global Conference: Lima, Perú
With the aim of strengthening cooperation among Customs, Government entities, business and institutional organizations, and the international private sector, the ‘X World BASC Congress: Resilience in International Trade’ was held. This event provided a space for dialogue to emphasize the importance of enhancing international trade through the implementation of internationally recognized best practices and security procedures, fostering trust in the supply chain.
This significant gathering was co-organized by the World BASC Organization and the BASC Peru Chapter, members of the Business Alliance for Secure Commerce (BASC). The congress saw the participation of over 300 attendees, including 100 foreign entrepreneurs and expert moderators from more than 15 countries. Among them were representatives from the World Customs Organization (WCO), Customs from the U.S., Guatemala, Panama, Peru, the Dominican Republic, entities related to foreign trade, BASC member companies, and the attendance of the U.S. Ambassador to Peru, Mrs. Lisa Kenna.

IX BASC GLOBAL CONFERENCE 2021: Ecuador
World BASC Organization – WBO launched its IX World BASC Congress, which took place remotely from the city of Quito, and in this instance, BASC Ecuador hosted the event on November 18 and 19, 2021.
Mr. Francisco Mosquera, President of the Board of Directors of BASC Ecuador, welcomed the ninth edition of the World Congress and announced with great enthusiasm the theme for this year: ‘Building the Supply Chain Puzzle in Times of Uncertainty.’ He also expressed the pride felt by the chapter in being chosen this year and the challenges and responsibilities that come with being the host country.

VIII BASC GLOBAL CONFERENCE 2019: Cartagena , Colombia
World BASC Organization (WBO) and the BASC Colombia chapter celebrated, with great success, the 22nd anniversary of the program’s creation with the realization of the World BASC Congress in the city of Cartagena, under the title ‘Trust and Risk Management: The Path to Security and Competitiveness.’ The event involved more than 16 countries and brought together around 540 entrepreneurs and local and international authorities who analyzed trends and regulations in the environment, the development of foreign trade, and facilitation and protection in the supply chain.
The event took place on September 19 and 20 at the convention center of the Las Américas hotel in the city of Cartagena de Indias. It featured presentations from authorities and representatives of the U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP), the World Customs Organization (WCO), the Florida Customs Brokers & Forwarders Association (FCBF), PortMiami, Miami International Airport (MIA), the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Colombia, the Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Tourism of Colombia, the National Directorate of Taxes and Customs of Colombia (DIAN), and the presence of high-ranking representatives of the Colombian government and military forces.

VII BASC GLOBAL CONFERENCE 2017
The Business Alliance for Secure Commerce, represented by the World BASC Organization (WBO) and its chapter for the Dominican Republic, celebrated the seventh edition of the World BASC Congress for the first time in the country. The event, titled ‘Facilitation and Security: the Path to Global Prosperity,’ brought together around 300 local and international professionals who analyzed trends and regulations in the environment, the development of foreign trade, facilitation, and protection in the supply chain.
The event took place on September 14 and 15 at the El Embajador hotel in Santo Domingo and featured presentations from authorities and representatives of the U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP), World Customs Organization (WCO), World Trade Organization (WTO), and official and private international entities for goods control from various continents.
