Dina Amato
Ms. Amato recently transitioned into her role as the Director, CTPAT. Previously, Ms. Amato was the Assistant Director, Field Operations for Trade where she had oversight over the complex and dynamic Trade and Agriculture operations for the entire state of Florida. Ms. Amato has nearly 32 years of trade-related experience in CBP and has served in several critical leadership positions within CBP. As the Director for the Agriculture and Prepared Products (APP) Center, she successfully led over 135 employees at over 32 ports of entry in the land, sea, and air environments. Ms. Amato oversaw the post release procedures for agricultural products for the entire United States. She provided oversight of withhold release orders and the Uyghur Forced Labor Prevention Act (UFLPA) regarding products falling under the APP Center. Moreover, she served as a principal conduit between the trade community, ports of entry, and Office of Field Operations Headquarters on a national basis. Ms. Amato has successfully held numerous leadership positions to include (Acting) Executive Director, Agriculture Programs Trade Liaison, (Acting) Director, Trade Operations Division, Assistant Port Director, Program Manager, Operations Specialist, Team Leader, and Import Specialist.
Ms. Amato has established and forged effective working relationships with Federal agencies such as the Food and Drug Administration, Department of Agriculture, National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, and the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service.
Ms. Amato graduated magna cum laude with a Master of Arts Degree in Criminal Justice from Florida International University.
