Mr. Moncayo has spent much of his professional career serving the U.S. Federal Government, where he worked for Customs and Border Protection (CBP) and DHS in different positions in security, intelligence and analysis, international relations, employee training and development, organizational design and management, among others. Mr. Moncayo holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Criminal Justice Administration (summa laude) from Columbia Southern University, USA. In his last role as Deputy Commissioner of CBP’s Office of International Affairs (INA), Erik Moncayo strengthened the relationship between BASC and CBP firsthand, providing executive leadership in the planning of short- and long-range strategies, activities, and projects with national and international impact. Likewise, years ago, as CBP Attaché in the countries of Panama and Mexico, he had a close collaboration and relations with BASC from these countries, reinforcing the execution of CBP’s mission and cooperation support.
